Maggie is a Yorkie that was rescued from a puppy mill bust somewhere in North East Texas. I don't know any of the details. She had to be shaved down due to her fur being so knotted. 3 1/2lbs of fur was shaved. Her body was full of sores from the hair pulling so tight on the skin. She is in the process of being socialized. She has conquered the potty training. She is learning to trust but it is taking some time. She comes to me and her new daddy but that is about as far as we have gotten. We have only had her about 2 1/2 months so we consider her to be making great progress.
Clifford was rescued when his previous owner was tired of him at 6 months old and was going to take him to a local shelter. She called me and told me about it and I told her I would take him. My mom had loss her Pebbles and I thought he would be a good pet for her. Clifford lived with my mom for 7 years before she passed away last Sept. Clifford came to live with us and is doing well as you can see with the picture of him and Joey playing.
Joey (white chihuahua) was rescued from a puppy mill. Joey did not trust anyone and it took him close to a year to become completely secure. Before being rescued he was in the middle of a 3 tier stack of cages and had never been taken out of that cage. He ate, did his business and was breed in that cage. As you can see he has become a happy and playful little boy.
Miss Lily (chihuahua)was rescued about 6 yrs ago when her previous owners moved and left her chained to a tree with a logging chain in the middle of December.
Chance (rotty)was rescued 8 years ago when his mom was killed by a car and the owners were going to kill all the puppies. The puppies were 3 weeks old when we rescued them. We hand fed them until they were old enough to be adopted out. We found great homes for the other 5 and we kept Chance. He is a big sweetie and his best friends are his cat and his teddy bear.
